Pay rate: Up to £10.90

Contracted hours: 36 hours per week

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

We’re currently recruiting for a Housekeeper/Kitchen Assistant to join our passionate, hard-working and friendly support team.

Our support team play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in our homes and Kitchens, ensuring that every room and living space is clean, tidy and maintained at all times. As part of the catering team you will be part of creating delicious meals, snacks and drinks for our residents. You’ll get to know our residents, understand their likes and dislikes so that mealtimes are always a highlight of their day.

**Chestnut Court is an 80 bed Care Home situated in Quedgeley. The home offers Residential, Nursing and Dementia in a comfortable, homely setting. We’re rated 9.6 by Carehome.co.uk and Good by the Care Quality Commission.**

**ABOUT YOU**

You don’t need to have previous experience, as we’ll give you the training you need, although it would be helpful if you hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. What we’re looking for is someone who is keen on cooking and takes pride in kitchen hygiene standards. You’ll have a positive can-do approach, with good communication skills and you’ll be passionate about ensuring our residents receive the best service possible.

You’ll be confident in engaging with our elderly residents to understand their individual needs and enjoy being part of the wider team in the home.

**Salary**: £10.90 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Quedgeley, GL2 4WD: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Chef: 1 year (preferred)
- Catering: 1 year (preferred)
- Cooking: 1 year (preferred)
- Kitchen experience: 1 year (preferred)
