Roofing Foreman

StructureCare are CPG’s Specialist in-house Contractor who are focussed on the Repair, Maintenance and Protection of Buildings and Structures throughout the UK and are seeking to appoint a Roofing Foreman to our ever-expanding team.
**Duties**:
Whilst not exhaustive, the key responsibilities of this role will include:
- Lead site activities, managing your team to best effect, assisting the Roofing Services Team in the delivery of work on Construction Sites around the UK.
- Ensure that project scope and specification are clear and understood. Ensuring that this is communicated to the Site Operatives.
- Ensure that attention to detail is always applied, and that high standards are met throughout project delivery.
- Manage the site delivery team, assisting others to ensure that works are completed safely, responsibly and within scope, specification and budget.
- Ensure that we take good care of our vehicles, plant and equipment.
- Ensure that our plant and equipment is in good, clean working order. Ensure that daily checks are undertaken and any issues, concerns or defects in the equipment are reported, enabling the business to repair or replace equipment to ensure that downtime is prevented.
- Ensure that near miss reporting is driven and effective, enabling the business to capture, control and prevent issues across all aspects of the business.
- Ensure correct PPE use at all times.
- Report on project stock of materials, PPE and consumables to ensure we are planning ahead.
- Provide safety briefings to Site Operatives and Subcontractors.
- Ensure that our works are controlled, segregated and contained from the public or other stakeholders.
- Undertake and oversee daily task related monitoring, maintain records and reporting information to ensure that we can monitor and record that we are working responsibility at all times, ensuring the safety and wellbeing and you and your co-workers.
- Ensure that you remain vigilant and aware of risks presented by your actions, ensuring your own safety and well-being, and that of your co-workers, the general public and other stakeholders.
- Ensure that you remain diligent at all times, using your knowledge and experience to ensure that the work we undertake is sufficient by scope, specification, quality or quantity. Report any issues or concerns in advance to your direct report, allowing us to act accordingly.
- Ensure that site records are completed correctly and in line with business and project requirements. It is equally important that these records are kept safely and securely, and returned at regular intervals, as instructed by your direct report.
- Ensure that non-productive periods are reported in good time. Supported by records of events and instructions to ensure we are well positioned to manage claims as a result of changes or delays.
**Skills and Requirements**
- **Experience**:A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- **knowledge**:Must have a qualification in liquid waterproofing or built-up felt roofing.
- UK driving licence essential
