Our client is looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to work within their global manufacturing company.

You can be based in either Kelso, Livingston or Hybrid, however you must be able to work from Kelso one day a week.

The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of Accounts Receivable and provide financial accounting support and guidance to the UK entities.

**THE ROLE**:

- Manage Accounts Receivable, including forecasting, analysis, and reporting.
- Support customer factoring to optimise cash efficiency.
- Conduct weekly review and reporting on bad debt, proactively working to prevent and reduce it.
- Maintain monthly management accounts.
- Assist with month-end journal entries for Engineering solutions (Dynamic AX).

**ADDITIONAL**:

- Manage credit card transactions.
- Perform FX revaluations.
- Analyse cash flow.
- Prepare monthly exposure reports.
- Assist with both Internal and External audit queries.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Previous experience in Accounts Receivable or general accounting.
- AAT or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel.

**DESIRED**:

- Experience with Dynamics AX or JDEwards.
