**About St Aloysius’ College**

St Aloysius’ College is one of the leading schools in Scotland, one of eleven Jesuit schools in Britain and over two thousand Jesuit schools and 900 universities worldwide. It has just over 750 pupils across Junior and Senior schools.

Founded in the mid-nineteenth century, the College occupies several buildings both old and new, from the Italianate Chandlery Building (1866) to the Junior School (1999). A new spacious and secluded Kindergarten was opened in 2013.

The members of the Governing Body bring exceptional experience from a wide range of professional backgrounds and from within the Jesuit community, and are consistently ambitious for the College’s continuing success and future development.

**Our Location**

The College is situated in the Garnethill area of Glasgow city centre, next to Glasgow School of Art and close to the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Garnethill is home to three inter-related Jesuit works: the College, the parish of St Aloysius and the Ignatian Spirituality Centre.

**Head of Junior School**

The Junior School Head is responsible to the Head of the College for the Catholic and Jesuit mission and identity of the Junior School. The Junior School Head has responsibility for all matters connected to Junior School life and will work closely with the Junior School. Full role profile available on our website.

**Terms of Appointment**

The expected start date for the new Head of Junior School is 8th January 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter, depending on their notice period.
