Regenerative Horticultural/agriculture Farm Grower

We are a family business who runs a mixed farm and are in the second year of growing fruit and vegetables (market Garden). We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our very small team on a full / part time PAYE basis, or self employed basis.

This is a rare and exciting project where you will be a part of the early stages of our food production from almost scratch and develop it into a successful project to supply local food outlets and public buyers.

The project is planned to start on 1 acre of land, growing the full range of fruit and vegetables, with room to expand in the future. It will have a strong focus on being low carbon production of quality fruit and vegetables. You would need to align with our strong interest in regenerative farming, and experience in no Dig/zero till methods would be an advantage.

What you need to have:

- Experience working in horticulture.
- Keen to get involved with all aspects of farming we undertake (mainly woodland management and Higher level stewardship environmental management of land
- Start to finish growing experience on a commercial level
- Relevant qualification or past "on the job" experience
- A driving licence (tractor qualification a bonus)
- Provide evidence of qualifications, training or past work completed
- Happy working on their own, or as a small team
- Responsible for jobs from start to finish
- Ideally looking for a local person to Burnett (BS31 2TF) who is interested in the job as a longer term career.
