Serco Defence delivers a wide range of support to the prestigious Skynet contract providing secure satellite communication services to the UK Government and Armed Forces. We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Cryptographic Custodian to join the team at Oakhanger. As part of the Cryptographic Service Delivery Team (CSDT) located at Satellite Ground Station (SGS) Oakhanger this role will assist in the provision of cryptographic support to secure communications in support of our customer.

The purpose of this role is to assist in the day-to-day management of a cryptographic accounts and operation of the cryptographic and Key Management Facilities. An important aspect of the role will be to maintain an accurate and up to date system of Central Accounting for all cryptographic items issued using the appropriate register of cryptographic items with supporting vouchers to record every transaction. You will assist in the handling of outgoing and incoming consignments from the Defence Courier Service (DCS) and casual couriers. The successful post holder must be available to respond to out-of-hour calls for COMSEC advice, deliveries, emergency issues or supersessions.
