Event & Lighting Set Up Supervisor

Provide timely installation and removal of our equipment (predominately lighting and furniture), in accordance with the client’s instructions, predominantly for weddings.
Main duties
1. Organise in conjunction with company directors, clients and/or venue staff equipment required for proposed installation in advance of event. This will involve looking ahead at confirmed bookings and plan as necessary. Supervise one other full time member of staff when required.
2. Deliver to venue in a timely manner our lighting and furniture. Set up and test all equipment to ensure it is working as intended, and to the satisfaction of our clients or venue staff. Ensure basic necessary Health and Safety requirements are met at all times. Trouble shoot any problems arising on the day.
3. Remove the same lighting/furniture and equipment after the event has finished and return it to our business premises, ensuring nothing has been damaged during the hire.
4. Undertake any necessary maintenance of equipment I.e. painting, changing light bulbs etc to keep equipment in good order. Ensure all electrical equipment is kept free of defects at all times.
5. Keep the company van and premises in good clean organised order. Advise directors of any stock replenishment requirements.

Key skills required

**1. Must be reliable and flexible with working hours, including very regular weekend working. NO ANNUAL LEAVE GENERALLY MAY- SEPTEMBER.**
**2. Must possess a full clean driving licence. (Will consider 3 penalty points maximum)**
**3. Must be physically fit (some heavy lifting is involved), and able to work at height. (1-2 floors high normally maximum)**
4. Has to be able to work on own initiative in a timely manor.
5. Must have good communication skills and be able to liaise with venue or clients directly, using your own mobile telephone when required.
6. Must be able to be flexible with the working day and adapt the days programme of work as necessary.
Experience requirements
Although not essential, experience in basic construction and/or electrics is preferred or must be a quick learner.
