Senior Buyer

This specialist manufacturing business for a global customer base are continuing to expand their supply chain operations.

At their site in Wrexham, the Procurement Manager is looking to attract into the team a Senior Buyer who will focus on supplier development and cost management initiatives.

Within the role of Senior Buyer, typical responsibilities will be to:
- Develop and manage suppliers, improving controls and processes as well as leading and supporting cost down initiatives across the business unit.
- Liaise closely with internal departments and other sites on projects key to the Business.
- Actively be involved in supplier negotiations.
- Ensure that supplier orders are actioned and progressed to meet tight deadlines.
- Source products for New Product Introduction projects.
- Communicate risks to supply chain that may affect production plans.
- Work with operations to ensure optimum quality, prices and delivery for defined parts to support minimising inventory.
- Have purchasing experience gained in manufacturing.
- Will be looking for a development opportunity.
- Be able to build and maintain strong supplier relationships with a global supply base.
- Ideally have SAP experience.

- A salary circa £45,000
