Live Reporter

The Live Reporter will be committed to breaking the news that our audiences truly care about right now - from the big dramatic events to the local stories of interest.
You must be fast, first, and accurate.
Resourcefulness and an eye for a good story are all essential in this exciting new role.
**What will I do?**
You'll capture the stories that the people of Inverclyde, Ayrshire, and Argyll and Bute want and need to hear, first.
You will be working on titles including the Greenock Telegraph, Ardrossan and Saltcoats Herald and Largs and Millport Weekly News, to name a few, and will report to our Digital Audience and Content Editor for West Scotland.
Working alongside teams of reporters, you'll be focused on breaking news.
You'll respond to major events, capturing what's happening quickly.
Using your excellent search skills, you'll be able to create must-read stories from the chatter and buzz happening within our communities.
You will also be ensuring our social media channels are brimming with engaging content, including video.
**What skills do I need?**
- Background in content_
- Experience in digital content
- A real nose for what people care about right now
- Quick thinker - fast and accurate writer
- Passion to grow the brands and engage with the local community
- Strong awareness of legal compliance around content
- Basic video editing skills for social media
- Resourceful_
- You'll thrive in a fast-paced working environment and can work quickly without letting errors slip through.
- With a good eye for trends, you'll spot the high-performing stories that will capture our readers' attention.

**Where will I work?**
This full-time role is preferably based from our office in Greenock and/or Ardrossan with working from home an option for some days. The role involves weekend work.
