The Ingredients department at Arla Foods produces 18000 tons of permeate powder and 4000 tons of whey protein concentrate using membrane, evaporator and drying technology. Our customers use the products as ingredients in foods and have high demands for quality and food safety. Our raw material is based on whey, which comes from quality cheese production at Taw Valley.

***by ensuring that our products can be accurately delivered to our customers on time. As a Production Operator you will be part of a high-performance team both delivering and supporting other functions to meet challenging team and personal goals.
- Your main job roles will be the deep cleaning of dry production areas and manual stacking of 25kg bags on pallets ready for dispatch (when running the 25kg bagging machine).
- The role will also include:

- Maintaining strict food hygiene and health and safety standards in the department.
- Cleaning/housekeeping to maintain a hygienic and food safe environment, as to be audit ready at all times.
- Ensure that department paperwork is filled out accurately and in full.
- Proactively maintain a safe working environment by raising near misses, risk observations, environmental observations and behavioral safety observations
- Checking quality of products during production and dispatch.
- General warehouse duties (assisting powder store operator)
- Giving input to continuous improvements, to support our LEAN focused business.
- Filling in documentation (electronic log sheets) for food safety and traceability.
- There may also be opportunities for further training, once established in role:

- Operating 25kg and 1 tonne powder bagging machines
- Fork lift driving

It’s a fast-paced site and the role will involve working shifts - 4 days on, 4 days off (days only, 6am-6pm). So, as well as the joy of avoiding rush hour commutes, you’ll be able to enjoy a good work/life balance.

Food manufacturing experience preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
