Customs Broker

**Customs Broker - Newtownabbey - £26k - £27.5k**

Clemence Rogers are recruiting for a Customs Broker to join a growing transport business in Newtownabbey. Reporting into the Customs Manager you will be responsible for processing UK and EU customs declarations for Irish Sea RoRo, the ideal person for thisposition will have previous experience working in a similar role, or freight forwarding with excellent customer service skills and a high level of attention to detail. Full training will be given. In return you will receive the following benefits:
**Salary £26,000 - £27,500, annual bonus, service day holidays, life assurance, healthcare plan, full training provided, 1 day a week home working, rotating 5-week shift pattern Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm, Tues -Sat 8:00am-5:00pm**

**As the Customs Broker you will be responsible for**:

- Processing of UK and EU Customs Declarations for Irish Sea RoRo
- A high attention to detail while working as part of a team
- Able to work on their own initiative
- Expediting Customs Clearances while maintaining Customs Compliance
- Interaction with all Stakeholders
- Standing Data & records maintenance
- Ad-hoc administrative tasks as required by the company

**As the Customs Broker you will have the following**:

- Level 3 Customs qualification is desirable but not essential
- Previous experience of Traffic Management Systems and bespoke Customs computer software is desirable
- Ability to prioritise tasks
- Strong IT skills in Microsoft Windows Microsoft Office, spreadsheets &, Databases
- Capacity to learn new skills and take direction but work on your own initiative
- Good communicator with fluency in written and spoken English
- Five GCSEs or equivalent including English and Maths
- Strong Customer Service abilities
- Willing to work on shift/rota
