**Environmental Assistant**

- Friday, 8am - 2.30pm except one day full day (until 5pm).**

UK Poultry represents more than half of 2 Sisters’ business by sales. The division employs over 8,500 people working in a chilled environment to process poultry products which are then marketed to UK consumers via major retailers.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
We are looking to recruit an Environmental Assistant to help with audits and give a great foundation in Environmental Management at a large Food Manufacturing site.

You would be responsible with the help of the HSE Manager to ensure the site complies with 2SFG & legal policies and standards and meeting environmental Permit legislation.

Some responsibilities:

- Assist the H&S Manager in all matters of Environmental compliance on site and Act as champion for environmental compliance on site.
- Assist 2SFG audit programme to ensure site compliance with 2SFG group EMS and customer requirements to drive site continuous improvement.
- Collate data and provide input to into all external environmental permit reporting requirements and reports
- Assist departments in providing safe systems of work and risk assessments for site environmental operations.
- Assist in developing training to improve and enhance the environmental knowledge throughout the site.

**ABOUT YOU**:
Can you do it? Yes you can, if you’re fanatical about food, thrive under pressure and have a proven track record working in a Technical role within food manufacturing. Bring those qualities along with the below and you will have the recipe for success:

- Environment or Health & Safety related degree or similar work experience
- Understanding of environmental agencies such as SEPA
- Desirable to have NEBOSH or IOSH qualifications or interested
- Good excel skills
- Self-driven, resilient, and able to work under pressure
