We have registered a fantastic opportunity to work for an internationally celebrated research institute in South Oxon. Responsible for managing a small team, you will work collaboratively with the Head of Communications to plan, deliver and evaluate theexternal communications strategy.
**PR and Communications Manager Responsibilities**
This position will involve, but will not be limited to:
Leading the press office, proactively identifying stories and engaging with the news of the day, as well as responding to journalists and providing a rota based out-of-hours press office service.
Building relationships with editors and journalist across broadcast, print and digital media and being adept at pitching a story to them.
Developing a web and social media presence, setting objectives for these channels and measuring success.
Oversee the planning, delivery and evaluation of key corporate, industry and research events and our public engagement activities.
Liaise regularly with scientists across all sites to scope external communication needs, maintaining a forward plan of activities.
Provide regular reports evaluating performance.
