We have an exciting new position to join AfC. The ASYE hub assessor is a new role designed to assess, support and mentor newly qualified social workers (NQSWs) on the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) programme. This role will be based across both Richmond and Kingston.
About the role
The Hub assessor will be a qualified practice educator and will be primarily responsible for:
- Developing and coordinating the support for NQSWs entering the organisation and completing their ASYE
- Successful delivery of the ASYE programme and the outreach support provided by the post holder
- Play a key role in developing a ‘hub’ model for the support and assessment of the NQSW’s
- Assess in line with the Post Qualifying Knowledge and Skills Statements (KSS) and Professional Capabilities Framework (PCF)
- Work in partnership with the ASYE hub assessor in RBWM, creating a network of support
- Work alongside social workers, line managers and other professionals
- Have close links with the Workforce Development Service and Quality Assurance Service to support the delivery of the ASYE programme and associated workforce support functions such as coaching and mentoring
About you
- Educated to a degree level with a relevant professional qualification in social work
- Postgraduate qualification in practice education to Stage 2 ie PEPs2
- Active Social Work England registration and proven evidence of continuing professional development
- Experience of managing the assessment of learners in practice
- Experience in leading a team, in social or health care; preferably experience in children and families services
