We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced **SHEQ Coordinator** to join the SHEQ team and support the SHEQ Manager working days on a full time basis (40 hours per week).

**SALARY**:£22,800.00 per annum. To be reviewed on completion of probationary period.

**HOURS**: 40 hours per week.

**HOLIDAYS**: 33 days.

The role will be responsible for improving and supporting the company’s **S*afety, **H**ealth, **E**nvironmental & **Q**uality (**SHEQ*) systems by working closely with Operations to ensure processes and activities have clear standards ensuring these standards are rigorously met and continue to be developed in line with best practices.

A key aspect of the role is to always promote a positive quality and safety culture and encourage this attitude in colleagues through leading by example and collaborating with all teams across the site.

The SHEQ Coordinator will join the SHEQ department working full time (40 hours per week), reporting to the SHEQ Manager and working a days-based role (8 hours per day with a level of flexibility) Monday to Friday.
- Acting as a system administrator for the SHEQ systems
- To contribute to SHEQ-related audits on the site management systems
- Take responsibility for your own and your colleagues’ Health & Safety
- Take responsibility for the sites’ impact on the Environment
- Ensure Berry Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) standards are adhered to at all times
- Understand our customer’s needs and expectations around quality and support internal quality standards
- Report & resolve Health & Safety breaches seen and concerns regarding unsafe practices
- Provide recommendations for improving safety in the workplace
- Able to understand and analyse Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data
- Effective team member - working collaboratively to achieve business goals
- Calm under pressure - able to keep reasoning and logical decision making
- Complete any other duties reasonable to the role

**Key aspects of the role include**:

- Experience using Microsoft Office package with competent computer skills
- An ability to work individually and as part of a team when required
- Commitment to continuous improvement in daily performance
- Be willing to obtain relevant SHEQ training and certification
- Strong communication skills
- An ability to pay attention to detail
- Be comfortable sitting in an open-plan office
