We are currently recruiting for a Sales and Marketing Director to work Days Monday-Friday working for a leading distributor of surfaces including worktops, wall panelling and flooring at their Newcastle under Lyme Head Office. Benefits to include a generous bonus scheme and car allowance.
The Sales and Marketing Director role is a permanent position working Monday - Friday (40hrs per week) 8am-5pm on a salary of up to £100,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + annual bonus and car allowance of £650 per month
As Sales and Marketing Director, you will join a leading company with a turnover of £130m, to create, lead and deliver sales and marketing strategies for the business, as well as driving performance and sales growth. Your key duties will include:
Monitor and report on market trends, completing competitor analysis
Develop and review full annual budget for sales and marketing activities
Set clear targets for Sales and Marketing Managers, as well as overseeing progress, achievement through coaching and KPI management
Contribute to the business strategy specifically relating to customer service, marketing and sales objectives across all areas of the business
Reporting monthly sales performance
Producing and driving the implementation of a clear marketing strategy & plan, to enable the business to achieve their objectives
Occasional travel to other sites and attendance to relevant events We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:
5 years’ minimum senior management experience within a similar senior sales and marketing role ideally as Sales & Marketing Director
Experience from a distributor, or building maintenance/ products/ home improvement/ KBB sector
Proven history of leading large, complex projects and sales cycles
Driven and creative individual with a track record of consistently exceeding objectives
Experience in managing a sales/ marketing annual budget
Ability to work closely and collaboratively with senior colleagues
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong team manager - you will lead a small team of 6 people (Marketing Assistant, Social Media Coordinator, Marketing Executive, Digital Marketing and Creative Designer)
Ability to motivate, inspire and lead a team
Experience in using design tools desirable - Photoshop, XD, InDesign, Illustrator
Experience in Google Analytics
WordPress and CS Cart - desired
Knowledge of factors affecting website ranking and Search Engine Optimisation required
**Qualifications required**:
Full UK driving license
Degree and/ or relevant Sales/ Marketing qualification, plus 5+ years’ experience
5 A-C GCSE’s or equivalent - English essential, and 2 A levels.
