Are you a dedicated individual with a passion for maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for students? We are currently seeking a School Caretaker to a school in Southampton. As a vital member of the school community, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of facilities.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Conducting daily security checks to ensure the safety of the premises.
- Performing general maintenance tasks such as repairs, painting, and basic plumbing.
- Managing the cleanliness and hygiene standards of the school buildings and grounds.
- Setting up and dismantling equipment for school events and activities.
- Responding promptly to any emergencies or health and safety concerns.
- Liaising with external contractors and suppliers as necessary.
- Assisting with the management of health and safety procedures and risk assessments.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in a caretaking or facilities management role is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced Child Work Force DBS or possession of a current Enhanced Child Work Force DBS certificate on the update service.
- Flexibility to work alternative shift patterns 7am-4pm / 9am-6pm.
