To provide housekeeping services to the home environment. The post holder is responsible for the daily cleaning of the home ensuring that the required standards are met and the home is a safe and comfortable environment. The post holder will work as an integral part of the Roston team.

The main elements of the role are ensuring the delivery of cleaning, some catering and minor maintenance, together with other specified tasks to meet the needs of the children and young people during their stay at Roston. The post holder will be required to work closely with the Team Co-Ordinator, contractors and support services departments. He/she will monitor quality standards and rectify deficiencies.

Children’s Services are looking to recruit a Housekeeper to our Team at Roston.

Roston is a small welcoming two bedded home, regulated by Ofsted, which provides short breaks for children and young people with a learning disability and complex health needs.

You will possess excellent communication and decision making skills, be able to work autonomously and within a tight time framework and budget. You must have the knowledge and skills to support the needs of the service provided.

The work is interesting and challenging, but there is supervision, support and training available.

This is a part-time post working 25 hours per week, 5 out of 7 days to suit the service needs.

We’re an NHS community and mental health provider Trust based in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. We deliver community and hospital-based care to improve people’s physical and mental health. We also provide specialist support to people with dementia or a learning disability.
