As a Solutions Architect at CACI IIG, you will join one of our small, fast-paced, agile delivery teams; using agile methodology and DevOps techniques to design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure supporting workloads for customers in the UK Governmentand Defence sector.

You will play a leading role in setting the projects strategic direction, developing clear technology roadmaps that the Software Engineers can follow and ensuring the customers challenges are fully met.

Typical activities our Solutions Architects undertake include:

- Defining and assessing technical architectures and solutions
- Defining technical and business requirements
- Producing high and low level technical designs
- Producing high level operating model designs
- Selecting appropriate DevOps pipeline, process and tools, high level of coding languages & testing strategies to be used
- Architect and support delivery of on-premise virtualization (VMware ESX, vCenter) solutions
- Architect and support delivery of IaaS, PaaS and SaaS public cloud (AWS & Azure) solutions
- Develop and maintain all the necessary technical architecture documentation required to support security and architectural accreditation

**Essential Skills**

Our Solutions Architects enjoy working on a variety of interesting and challenging projects, so we want our team to have a proactive and can-do attitude to our work. We pride ourselves on keeping up with emerging technologies and the delivery of best-practiceso it is important that you enjoy learning and continuous improvement. You will ideally have exposure to;
- Working in a team developing full-stack solutions
- Defining, installing, or supporting networking solutions
- DevOps and the techniques which enable IT - including virtualisation, containerisation, CI/CD and IaC
- Working with high-level stakeholders, both internally and externally
- Working in agile environments using methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban

Due to the industries we work in, we require all our team to be able to obtain security clearance. To qualify for this, you must be a British passport holder and have lived permanently in the UK for the last 5 years.
