**Helpline Adviser**

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Helpline Adviser to become a vital part of a small, friendly and ambitious team.

**Position**: Helpline Adviser

**Location**: Hybrid working by agreement from home and from the office in Maidenhead, Berkshire

**Salary**: £21,216 (Full time equivalent)

**Contract**: Part time (22.5 Hours per week), permanent

**About the role**:
As Helpline Advisor you will be working for a charity that is passionate about preventing premature deaths caused by high cholesterol. They're committed to raising awareness about the risks of high cholesterol, lobbying for better detection of those at risk & supporting health professional training.

**Some of your key responsibilities will include**:

- Respond to helpline enquiries during the helpline open hours (20 hours) in line with procedures.
- Assessing whether the enquiry requires specialist support and arranging a time for the response.
- Record the information on the database.
- Highlight possible case studies.
- Update the healthcare area of the website, including updating the lipid clinic map.
- Coordinate the literature orders.
- Support the services team with any appropriate projects.

**About you**:
If you have previous helpline experience and you are a compassionate person with great listening skills then this could be the role for you

**You will need to bring with you the following skills and experience**:

- Helpline experience
- Knowledge of healthcare systems and how they operate
- Background in the charity sector
- Excellent IT skills (including Office 365, Sharepoint, Teams and database usage)
- Excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills required, with the ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people
- Tact and diplomacy
- Organised
- ‘Can do’ attitude
- Ability to work under own initiative
