**Lead IT Practitioner**

Eden Brown Synergy is currently working in partnership with a Public Sector Organisation in Exeter which is looking to recruit a Lead IT Practitioner on an interim basis for 6 months initially.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensuring software development best practice within third party teams, leading by example
- Assessing technical solutions to ensure that they fulfil user needs and are secure, affordable and supportable.
- Working with teams delivering other parts of the toolset to ensure that the solutions integrate with each other to form the whole system.
- Becoming a domain expert in the toolset that is being delivered and the integrations needed with internal systems.
- Collaborating with people inside and outside the team to deliver business benefit.

**Person Specification**

**Essential skills**:
1. Software development - Designing, coding, testing and documenting software of medium to high complexity

2. Cloud based services - Designing, implementing, running and supporting services using Amazon Web Services

3. Agile delivery - Collaborating with others to refine user stories and plan work, iterative development, incremental delivery, continual improvement

4. Technical leadership - Experience of leading and mentoring a multi-disciplinary development team across geographically dispersed environments, ensuring work is done to the highest quality.

Please note you will be expected to work in the office on a regular basis, when required to facilitate team working. This is likely to be a couple of days every three months, but we may need ad hoc on-site meetings too.
