Anglian Water’s Asset Delivery team supply professional Construction, Design & Management (CDM) services across all of our capital delivery routes. To help support this pivotal function, we have an exciting permanent opportunity for someone who is experienced and has a passion for Health and Safety to join our multi-disciplinary team as a Principal Designer / CDM Advisor.
In this key role you will be working with our expert Design and Project Management teams to ensure that the highest standards of design safety are applied to both small and large scale projects with tight timescales and costs.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring operational and maintenance safety is fully integrated into projects. You’ll also assist the teams with the gathering and developing of pre-construction information and issuing F10 notifications, together with ensuring the suitability of construction phase plans and Health and Safety information.
This role is a great opportunity to further develop your skills in CDM Health and Safety and we will provide you with the opportunities necessary to further develop your professional and technical skills within our leading organisation.

What does it take to be a CDM Practitioner?
Minimum H&S qualification as NEBOSH General Certificate or Construction Certificate
Minimum Technical qualification as ONC/HNC (or equivalent) in Building/Civils/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or has gained sufficient Skills, Knowledge and Experience in a previous similar role
Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills, as well as flexibility and commitment.
As a self-motivated person, you’ll preferably have gained both Engineering and Health and Safety qualifications at Technician level or above and have a good awareness of the Health and Safety implications of design.
