Transport Planner

**TRANSPORT PLANNER**

Due to expansion J & J Ward Ltd have an opportunity within our busy Transport Team based in Penrith, Cumbria for an experienced Transport Planner

**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage a team of HGV Walking Floor / Tipper vehicles, including planning routes and allocation of workload
- Operational Transport Compliance
- Submit Transport updates to the Senior Management Team
- Health and Safety

**Skills and experience required**
- CPC Management Qualification or be willing to work towards certification
- 1 year experience in similar Transport Planner role
- Experience of routing vehicles and excellent geographic knowledge of the UK
- Experience of building relations with both customers and drivers
- Strong organisational skills flexible working attitude and be able to work under pressure to priorities workload are essential
- Good PC skills including Microsoft packages and be willing to learn our bespoke system.

**Salary: to be negotiated, depending on experience**
