Our rapidly expanding **Lely Center Yeovil** is looking to recruit an additional full time **Sales Consultant**.

Lely is the world’s leading manufacturer of automated milking equipment with nearly 50,000 robotic milking machines installed worldwide. Unique within the dairy sector, Lely distribute all products through the successful Lely Center franchise network.

**Main Purpose of Role**:
As a sales consultant, you will cover our territory which encompasses Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire, Hampshire, Sussex, Surrey, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire and south Herefordshire.

**Duties & responsibilities**:

- Establishing good customer relationships in person and via phone
- Fact finding to assess the customer’s requirements and providing them with the best advice and options on how they can meet their individual targets on farm
- Using Lely IT systems to report on sales progress and report to managers
- Ensuring suggested sales are appropriate to farm situation
- Liaising with project co-ordinators, marketing, finance and admin staff
- Liaising with 3rd parties
- Review, plan and prioritise your daily farm visits
- Maintain personal sales administration

**Essential Skills**:
We are looking for the following experience:

- A genuine interest in dairy and the agricultural sector, you must be comfortable and competent when dealing with farmers and their livestock
- Motivated, organised and prepared to lead by example
- Willing to learn new skills and gain knowledge
- Team player with the ability to communicate with others and the flexibility and empathy to support the farmer
- A proven track record in sales, ideally within the agricultural industry
- Must be flexible and willing to travel
- Have a full UK driving license
