To strengthen our motivated Team at our Label Manufacturing site in Newport South Wales UK, we are looking for a passionate Estimator (M/F/d).

The Estimating role will report directly to the Commercial Services Manager and support in satisfying customer pricing requirements for MM Newport and support the Business Unit. The role will work closely with the Commercial, Supply Chain and Operations Teams to fulfil customer needs in an efficient and professional manner.

**Your Role**:
Key Activities include:

- Estimate and cost jobs in house where required using the software system in place, taking into account standard estimating rules as applicable.
- Estimate for small, medium and large opportunities for a product group manufactured in the UK/IRE Area.
- Ensure all costs and parameters within area estimating models are keep updated in line with Dept SOP.
- Develop and maintain the pricing database with both spot pricing and matrix calculators across the customer base.
- Ensure all pricing is updated in a timely manner and provided to the relevant CS or Commercial teams in line with SFDC and department KPI guidelines.
- Develop work on samples, product development, layouts and designs for customer ranges in conjunction with the Sales and Origination departments.
- Provide the origination, production and materials departments with information as required to allow for efficient planning.
- Create GM improvement opportunities within Existing customer base by Suggesting more efficient order pattern management.
- Monitor & Ensure New business awarded to the company is performing to Financial expectations in line with Proposed executive summary and SLA.
- Act on or deputise for customer related project teams
- Absence cover for other Area Estimators
- Attend meetings on or off site with customers if required.
- Develop technological skills consistent with the requirements of this position.
- Maintain and develop costing records of orders produced and provide for comparisons to estimated costs.
- Interact directly with customers and suppliers on pricing and project development.
- Keep Activity Logs up to date in line with Dept SOP.
- Generate ad hock and monthly reports
- Understand Machine Rates and Material movements and maintain costs in pricing model

**Your Profile**:
**Education, Qualifications and Experience**

**Essential**
- Proficient PC skills including Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excellent organisational and analytical skills.
- Drive to achieve results
- Excellent communication & presentation skills, both written and spoken
- Highly numerate
- Must be prepared to travel so full UK Driving License is required

**Desirable**
- Direct experience in manufacturing costing and experience in Cartons, Labels Leaflets is an advantage but not essential.
- Previous experience working within the Packaging / Print industry
