**Rate**:£38.50 per hour

**The Role**:

- Provide sound instruction on their principal instrument/s
- Encourage regular and intelligent practice by setting tasks for practice between lessons
- Enter pupils for examinations where appropriate
- Encourage pupils to take part in ensembles
- Advise pupils who wish to purchase their own instrument
- Monitor students’ attendance, practice and progress
- Accompany and participate in school concerts where needed

**Hours**:The outgoing teacher currently has 5.5 hours of teaching. There is also the potential for hours to increase as the year progresses and more students sign up.
