**Payroll Assistant**

**Location**:Buxton

**Salary**: £22,000 - £25,000 per annum (Depending on experience)

**Job Type**: Full Time, Permanent

**The Role**

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure accurate and timely payments of Salaries, Pensions and DAE in line with Government regulations and CEL policies.
- Directly liaise with Senior Managers to create accurate Payroll information via Excel.
- To ensure all staff members receive correct Salaries and a Payslip to a fixed deadline.
- Be the point of contact for all staff members from all sites for any payroll related queries
- Represent CEL in a polite and professional manner to internal and external colleagues.
- Ensure Starters and leavers are processed correctly via Payroll.
- Monitor the accurate headcount via HR Software and cross check Holiday / Sickness.
- Maintain the payroll sheets on a daily basis with accurate information for Overtime, Call outs, DAE pension contributions, bonus, sickness etc.
- Co-ordinate with Plant managers and HR any Payroll changes.
- To comply with GDPR
- Provide support and work alongside the Finance team to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Provide support and work alongside the HR team to ensure accurate payroll information is produced.
- Reconciling Multiple Pension Schemes.

**Qualifications/Skills**
- Strong payroll knowledge is essential
- Have an eye for attention to detail
- Be a polite and strong communicator
- Excellent numeracy skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Be adaptable to varying tasks
- Working knowledge of Sage Line 50 & Excel
- Experience in running payroll is essential as is a high level of organisational ability
