School Caretaker

We are looking for a colleague to join our cleaning team at a school in Ilkeston as the school caretaker.

The role is split shift which means you will work mornings and afternoons with a break between. Shift patterns as follows.

Monday to Friday 06.00 - 09.30 and 14.30 - 18.30

As part of the role you will be required to work alongside the cleaners to assist in keeping the school clean and tidy. Other duties will include but not be limited to:

- Communicate effectively with the school business Manager to ensure projects are completed on time
- Carry out day-to-day maintenance and minor repairs
- Ensure the building and grounds are secure when not in use
- Open the building in the morning and lock it at the end of the day
- Ensure heating, lighting and alarm systems are checked regularly to ensure they are operational
- Take responsibility for ordering equipment relevant to your role an that of the cleaners.

**Salary**: £9.91 per hour
