Wilbar Associates is looking for an experienced streetworks/traffic management supervisor to become an assessor, with who we can work with to support and guide through the appropriate training. Alternatively, if you are a fully-qualified assessor looking to migrate into teaching in the highways industry.

**Job Summary**:
Wilbar is looking for a candiate with the right attitude, who has the ability to take on board part-time training alongside thier current work, with the view of undertaking a paid trainer/assessor role in streetworks/traffic mangement with us at the end of an assessors course.
The Trainer/Assessor plays a vital role in ensuring compliance with legislation and regulations pertaining to street works and highways. They are responsible for assessing the competence of individuals and organizations involved in carrying out streetworks/traffic management, ensuring they adhere to approved codes of practice and meet the required standards. The trainer/assessor works closely with relevant authorities, contractors, and utility companies to evaluate and verify the technical skills and knowledge of personnel involved in street works operations.

**Key Responsibilities**:
To become a qualified assessor

Provide training:
Conduct assessments:
Evaluate the competence of individuals and organizations involved in streetworks/traffic management activities by conducting on-site assessments and examinations.

Compliance monitoring:
Documentation:
Complete accurate assessment reports, maintaining comprehensive records of assessments, findings, and outcomes.

Training and guidance:
Provide advice, guidance, and support to street works personnel, highlighting areas for improvement and suggesting appropriate continued training programs.

Knowledge sharing:
Qualifications and Requirements:
Relevant industry experience in street works or highways maintenance.

In-depth knowledge of the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) and associated legislation.

Recognized assessor qualification or extensive experience in assessing competence.

Strong understanding of codes of practice, specifications, and statutory requirements related to streetworks/traffic management.

Excellent communication skills to interact with individuals at all levels, including contractors, utility companies, and local authorities.

Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate assessment reports.

Proactive approach to identifying areas for improvement and suggesting training interventions.

Ability to work independently and prioritize workload effectively.

Valid driving license (for on-site assessments).

**Salary**: £180.00-£200.00 per day
