As part of Hertfordshire CAMHS transformation, our priority is simple: to increase access and availability of mental health and wellbeing support for children and young people.

Driven by this goal and in line with NHS long term plan, we have exciting new opportunities for Administrative officers to provide administrative support to the MHST teams at the forefront of innovation in Children’s and Young Peoples Mental Health and to play an instrumental role in a forward-thinking service delivering interventions into schools and other settings in the East Herts area.

As an Administrative Officer you will be expected to co-ordinate information and provide administration and clerical support in order to facilitate the effective running of the service. This will include but not limited to
- Diary management including comprehensive management of data such as annual leave, sickness and attendance reports on behalf of the Team,
- Filing and ensuring maximum efficiency of processes
- Support Team Leaders and Supervisors in ad hoc duties required in their contribution to the creation and successful running of new team.

- Have GCSE in English Language and Mathematics Grade C or above or equivalent.
- Will be proficient in the use of a wide range of IT packages
- Have experience of organising and prioritising diaries and schedules
- Have experience of organising and taking minutes in meetings. You
- Will have good communication and organisational skills
- Will have the ability to work with mínimal supervision and on own initiative to achieve deadlines.

**Job Summary**:
The post holder will provide comprehensive, professional and effective administrative support to the Mental Health Support Team (MHST). The post holder will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and must display a considerable degree of initiative, possess mature judgement and maintain a calm, friendly and efficient manner when dealing with staff, service users, colleagues and visitors.
The post holder will be highly proficient in using information and communication systems and technology, with a willingness and aptitude to develop their expertise.

HPFT MHST works with Young people with mild to moderate mental health presentations attending school in the East Herts area.

The purpose of the team is to
- Provide evidence-based interventions for mild to moderate mental health issues.
- Support the senior mental health lead in each education setting to introduce or develop their whole school or college approach.
- Give timely advice to school and college staff, and liaising with external specialist services, to help children and young people to get the right support and stay in education.
