**Amiqus have partnered with a console studio based in Liverpool, who are currently looking to bolster their ranks and require a Principal Designer to help work on two console titles. The Studio were formed by a range of key figures in the games industry, and over the years have built an experienced AAA standard Team.**:
The studio has released a mixture of their own and original IP’s and are working on a range of new titles, which this Designer will play a huge part of developing. You will work closely with the Game Director in defining the vision to these titles.

Your primary role will be to work closely with the 3C’s (camera, character and controls) for 1 of 2 new console projects the studio is working on, one being focused on narrative driven controls with suspense and realism that tells a story, the other being a high octane combat driven title.

This role will promote freedom in your work style and will allow you to be creative with your design - the design is at the heart of all their games so it’s important to understand the overall experience of playing the game, rather than focusing solely on the mechanics. As a key member of the team, you will also get involved with core design principles and be able to implement new ideas on large-scale projects. You’ll also help recruit, mentor, and develop designers for the team as well.

This role is 100% remote working (indefinitely) or hybrid working if you prefer some days onsite.

You must be based in the UK at present for the remote working option.

**Requirements**:

- Past working knowledge of the 3C’s
- Released Console titles
- Experience with Unreal would be a bonus but other industry engines would be considered
- A working portfolio demonstrating project experience
