**The role**: Reporting to the Production Services Manager, the Production Editor is responsible for the production of Pearson Australia products, providing print & digital production and editorial expertise, and the management of vendors who provide production-related services for Pearson Australia. A Senior Production Editor role will be considered for the right person. **Our Purpose - Add Life to a Lifetime of Learning**
What you will do:
- Support the Production Manager in implementing Pearson’s production services vendor strategy through sourcing, onboarding, briefing, and supporting appropriate production services vendors, in line with Pearson’s global vendor policy and guidelines.
- Appropriate planning and resource management in order to deliver vendor-based production services to time, budget, and quality standards. Key to the role is managing vendor workflows, schedules, and payments.
- Managing the production output of vendors, ensuring product quality, schedules, and budgets are set, tracked, and achieved.
- Ensuring overall efficacy, process, and quality standards are met through continuous process improvement, documentation management, planning, monitoring/QA processes, and reporting.
- Increasing product delivery capacity, flexibility, and scalability through the development of strong vendor relationships.
To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:
- Experience working and delivering to project objectives.
- Experience working with and managing the output of print and digital production vendors.
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders both internal and external to Pearson.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Quality Assurance experience.
