It’s an exciting time for you to join our thriving **family run bed and bedroom furniture company** and be part of our Simply Beds team. Delivering our products to our customers is without doubt a crucial part of our business, and the person we are looking for must have the skills needed to **install beds and bedroom furniture items in our customer’s homes.**

Our Simply Beds and bedroom furniture installation team are the lasting impression for our customers experience with Simply Beds. We value our brand and reputationand are looking for a **friendly, respectful Home Delivery Service Driver **that has **superb customer service skills **with **excellent attention to detail, problem-solving abilities** and **organisational skills.**

**Location**: Simply Beds operates mainly within our **North Yorkshire area**, our stores are located in **Catterick, Northallerton** and **Ripon**, start and finish locations will vary each day between the three stores. Living locally to Ripon is preferable.

A **full UK/EU/EEA driving license** with no more than 6 points and at least 2 years driving experience is required. CBR checks will be carried out.

In addition to the above the following will also be required:

- Vehicle safety, maintenance and cleanliness
- Transferring goods between our warehouses
- Adhering to daily route planning and handling of delivery documentation
- Safe loading and unloading of furniture to customer properties and warehouses
- Communication with customers, stores and warehouses
- Some furniture assembly (eg. bedframes, divan beds, ottomans, wardrobes and chest of drawers) in customer properties
- Collection of returns and customer disposals
- Plan and drive to predetermined appointments with due care and attention
- Liaise with customers to confirm delivery times
- Where appropriate ensure furniture is unwrapped and checked for any damage prior to leaving the customer’s property.
- Other reasonable duties within the job holder’s capabilities. The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organisation and the overall business objectives of the organisation.
- You must be self-motivated and hardworking
- Have excellent communication skills
- Having experience of multi-drop deliveries within the furniture industry would be advantageous
- A flexible approach to working hours including being able to work overtime if necessary
- Able to work on your own initiative and as a member of a team
- Warehouse duties and general maintenance of the stores.
- Comfortable with a **physically demanding job** that requires you to load and unload your vehicle and install beds and bedroom furniture where necessary leaving our customers feeling happy and satisfied with their delivery experience.
