**About us**

Salumeria Mariuccia is an Italian delicatessen based in Derry. We are customer-centric, inclusive and fast-paced.

**Duties**
- Lead our delicatessen team on a daily basis to deliver an outstanding and authentic experience to our customers on every visit
- Coach and support our team to develop their skills across multiple areas
- Prepare and serve a variety of deli products, including sandwiches, salads, and hot food items
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and efficient manner
- Upsell additional deli items or promotions to customers
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, including sanitising surfaces and equipment
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards to ensure the quality and freshness of produce
- Stock management - ordering, receipt, storage, rotation
- Responsible for supporting with cost management
- Operate deli equipment such as slicers, ovens, and grills
- Handle cash transactions accurately
- Key holder responsibilities

**Qualifications**
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Culinary experience or knowledge is a plus
- Ability to work in a kitchen setting, including standing for long periods of time and working with various kitchen equipment
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members

**Benefits**

Hourly rate dependent on experience

Lunch provided for full day shift

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
