We have an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse to join our well-established Continence Promotion Service providing continence management to adult patients in the community, covering the beautiful West & North Norfolk community. Do you have a keen interest in Bladder and Bowel health with a can do attitude? This post offers you the chance to develop skills and knowledge of Bladder and Bowel care whilst being supported by team members. We see patients of all ages, many of whom, self refer to the service along side those referred by other medical/social care professionals. The work is varied and you will be working independently within clinic and residential homes & patient's homes, providing assessment, advice & treatments to adults with bladder and or bowel symptoms.

To provide robust specialist continence nursing care under the direction of the Continence Service Leader and Team Leads. To provide evidence-based holistic care to patients/carers around the promotion of continence management.

To assess, treat and review patients with bladder and or bowel symptoms according to NICE Guidelines relating to bladder and bowel dysfunction

To perform investigations including ultrasound bladder scanning, urine testing, pelvic floor muscle assessment demonstrating and maintaining competence at a specialist level

To manage a caseload of clients who require specialist continence nursing care

To work in collaboration with partner agencies in planning and implementing care promoting continence management.

We are a well-established Continence Promotion Service providing continence management to adult patients in the community, covering the beautiful West & North Norfolk community for clinic appointment's, residential care and domiciliary visits. The service has a supportive and warm culture where your contribution is valued. There will be support to achieve the necessary skills and knowledge before you work independently.

Develop competence in and undertake the clinical skills required for the post, including Continence assessment and conservative management, bladder scanning, intermittent catheterisation, fitting urinary and bowel aids and appliances.

To be responsible for the review of assessment of the patients’ continence needs and implementation of appropriate treatment plan or product provision, within clinics, care homes and patients own environment.

Be able to communicate effectively with patients/relatives with communication difficulties i.e. deafness, blindness, learning difficulties.

To establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and carers, incorporating motivation, encouragement and confidence

To communicate and share information with team members and the integrated care partnership providers.
