The purpose of this role is to complete analysis of Water Samples within the Laboratory in accordance with documented procedures and provide technical expertise and interpretation of results.

**Please note this is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week, Friday - Tuesday 08:00 - 16:00.**
- Perform plate reading, confirmation and identification of tests in accordance with documented procedures.
- Provide training, supervision, and guidance to less experienced team members.
- Provide technical expertise and interpretation of results.
- Ensure samples received are handled in accordance with documented procedures, including attention to temperature control, storage, and maintenance of sample integrity.
- Ensure maintenance of accurate and systematic records as detailed in the quality procedures.
- Perform Calibrations, Daily checks and other quality related tasks as required.
- Work with the team to drive the laboratory forward through continuous improvement.
- Report any anomalies or concerns to direct report.
- Comply with Health and Safety procedures keeping the working environment clean and tidy.
- Maintenance of laboratory fittings and equipment as directed.
- Ensure personal protective equipment is worn in accordance with the Health & Safety policy.
- Provide a high level of internal and external customer care.
- Contribute to technical and operational improvement in the laboratory.
- Problem solve and work proactively to anticipate problems.

**Qualifications**
- Maths, English, Chemistry or Biology at GCSE grade C or above or equivalent
- Knowledge of UKAS, ISO methods
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- One year’s laboratory experience.
- Experience in a fast paced working environment.
- Experience of Laboratory electronic management systems
- Good laboratory skills and practices
- Enthusiasm, energy and a driven outlook
