As Senior Curator you will play an important role in supporting the redevelopment of Hereford Museum and Art Gallery and revitalisation of Herefordshire Museum Service.

What will you be doing?

As Senior Curator, your experience, knowledge and skills will be used to:

- Lead the collections and engagement team, fostering a collaborative spirit, excellence in collections care and a commitment to community involvement across the service
- Manage the curation, care and development of the collections to Accreditation standards ensuring alignment with Herefordshire Museum Service’s objectives and upholding our commitment to excellence
- Spark innovation and dialogue with local communities and volunteers, ensuring their voices are heard and celebrated
- Shape new ways of working and promote community-driven programming
- Collaborate closely the Museum and Art Gallery Lead to deliver the service’s business plan and strategic priorities.

About You

As Senior Curator you will:

- Be an experienced leader with a background of successfully managing teams, coordinating projects, and fostering collaboration among diverse groups
- Have a proven ability to develop strong relationships with community organisations, local partners, and people from various backgrounds to promote inclusivity and accessibility
- Have excellent knowledge of museum operations, collections care, and best practices, with a passion for fostering engagement and education through exceptional exhibitions, events, and programming.
