At the heart of this, our UK Poultry division produces a third of all poultry eaten in the UK and represents more than half of 2 Sisters’ business by sales. The division employs over 8,500 people working in a chilled environment to process poultry products which are then marketed to UK consumers via major retailers.

We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Technical Manager to join one of our most modern sites that manufacture value added products to the Major Retailers. Due to the sites facilities there is a lot of NPD to get stuck into

**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
As Head of Technical you will be a member of the Senior Leadership team for site and be responsible for providing 2 Sisters Food Group sites with a first-class technical service, which involves:

- Verification and assurance of Site Technical / Quality Assurance function in line with the sites Food Safety and Quality Management Systems, legislative requirements, customer expectations and codes of practice.
- Management of the sites Technical, Hygiene and Compliance Managers
- Work closely with NPD, due to the site being value added there are significant NPD projects.
- Providing technical advice to SMT, site departments and customers
- To liaise directly with Major Retail customers to ensure effective management of customer accounts, technical function at site level and product safety and quality as per agreed customer standards.

- To ensure technical strategy is delivered in line with company aim and core values.
- Review quality and food safety trend analysis (customer complaints, micro results, and quality control information), allowing generation of robust improvement plans.
- Review internal/external audits are conducted as per agreed schedule and any resulting non-conformances are dealt with in a timely and appropriate manner.

**ABOUT YOU**:

- You will have experience working in a Senior Technical Manager position previously managing multi-functional teams.
- Experience working for multi-ingredient food manufacturers
- Good relationships and exposure to the Major Retailers
- A solid understanding of legislation and robust knowledge of microbiology
- HACCP (lvl 4) and Lead Auditor qualifications
- Food Science or related degree
