**About us**

The Nest is an independently owned Café bar in Barnes, that opened in March 2022. The owner Kathryn, wanted to create a space for both customers and employees to enjoy simultaneously. Our ethos is to provide a cosy ‘nest’ for people where they can enjoy the home-comforts, while incorporating the feeling of being out in nature.

At the Nest, we are aiming to offer the people of Barnes something completely new. We act as a shopfloor for other small businesses like ours. The plants, lighting, tableware, and artwork are constantly changing, as is the food and drinks offerings. We have a small staple all day menu and regularly changing specials during the day, and offer organic teas, cold-pressed juices and use a small family-run roastery for our coffee.

We are open three nights a week, where we travel around the world, taking inspiration from different countries, ensuring we are using locally sourced, seasonal, and organic ingredients and exciting flavours to keep our customers coming back every single day. Our cocktail menu changes seasonally.

**What we look for in a Bartender/ Barista**

This role is for an all rounder. We are looking for someone that has experience in customer service, either working as a Barista, confident in making coffees including speciality coffee. OR as a Bartender, with cocktail experience and a passion for making them. Would prefer someone that can do both, or is at least willing to learn.
- Have experience championing excellent service through impeccable customer service
- To be able to work alone or as part of a team
- Be comfortable with changing menus, and able to learn and recite these on a regular basis
- Be an active hands-on team player with a good set of core skills, either as a Barista or Bartender, and ideally previous management skills
- Previous knowledge and use of POS systems preferred, however training can be provided
- Be tidy (we like things kept clean)
- Be confident, and not afraid to express new ideas
- Share our belief in a strictly no-blame culture

Pay: £10.50-£11.50 per hour
