**We have a vacancy for a Early Help Business Support Officer in West Kent, supporting our Maidstone based Early Help Units.**

The Early Help Units undertake casework with a range of families with children of all ages requiring intensive support for multiple issues. These issues may include domestic violence, out of court disposals, prevention of the need for statutory social care intervention, children and young people experiencing significant attendance or behaviour difficulties at school as well as step-downs from Children Social Work Services.

The Vision is that every child and young person, from pre-birth to age 25, and their family, who needs early help services will receive them in a timely and responsive way, so that they are safeguarded, their educational, social, and emotional needs are met, and outcomes are good, and they are able to contribute positively to their communities now and in the future, including their active engagement in learning and employment.

**About the role**:
The role requires someone with excellent organisation and communication skills. You must be able to proactively manage your workload whilst responding to urgent requests and deadlines. You will have strong administrative and IT skills and the ability to collate and manage data. You will also need to demonstrate a confident manner in liaising with the public, professionals, and organisations, acting as a contact point for the Service. The work is interesting, varied and demanding, and we need someone with a calm and organised approach who can make a positive contribution to the success of the team.

This role will also incorporate some homeworking. We offer an attractive package of 27 days paid annual leave plus bank holidays, appealing pension and the Kent Rewards Scheme. In addition to this, we offer opportunities for training and development and teams are currently working flexibly from home and the office.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.

**_Interviews will be held the week commencing 1st August. There will be a 10 minute written exercise followed by a panel interview._**
