Today, Wellcome Collection brings social, cultural, historical, personal and artistic perspectives to Wellcome’s work, informing the research we fund, interventions we support, and deeper understandings of health across society.

We are now seeking an Associate Director, Curatorial and Public Practice and to join the Wellcome Senior Leadership Team. Reporting into and working closely with the Director of Wellcome Collection the Associate Director will be responsible for shaping and overseeing the delivery of the audience facing work which happens in public spaces both at Wellcome Collection, offsite and online. They will ensure one strategy is driving the delivery of engaging experiences for Wellcome Collection visitors as well as relevant and stimulating programmes of activities. They will be a collaborative leader with proven experience of building and developing a team.

To be successful in this role you will be a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of the cultural sector and working in complex arts, cultural and heritage organisations. You will bring experience of leading multi-disciplinary teams with an excellent understanding of interdisciplinary and participatory work, and curatorial practice in museum settings.

As a core member of the Wellcome Senior Leadership Team, you will be able to represent Wellcome Collection to develop links with stakeholders and partners both internally with Wellcome and externally. You will have good insight into culture change and the ability to inspire others. You will have a personal commitment to and be a champion for champion the organisation’s values and commitment to inclusion, diversity, equity and anti-racism.

**Salary**: £72,373 per annum
