**Role: Engagement Worker (Youth Adult)**
**Salary**: £13.00 per hour
**Contract/Hours**:Casual 3 hrs per week Tuesday evening between 5.30pm -8.30pm.

**A bit about the role.**
Guernsey Youth Housing project offers support service to assists young people between the ages of 13- 25 on the issues of homelessness, living skills, substance misuse and employment.
We provide a welcoming and accessible service that respects and values young people as individuals we are professional, non-judgemental, and confidential encouraging young people to make informed healthy decisions.
We have an exciting opportunity for an Engagement worker to support a small number of young adults (17-21) at our new youth group in Guernsey.
You will be working in a small but dynamic team, creating exciting youth provision, whilst providing a safe social space for young adults to come together.
**How you'll help to create brighter futures**.
- Working with young people to deliver fun and exciting activities.
- Engaging with young people and supervising activities that respond to the needs of the group you are working with.
- Offering sessions that explore themes, such as relationships, friendships, keeping safe and many other topics in an age and stage appropriate way.
- Retaining records, using various IT systems.
- Working effectively as part of a small team, liaising with colleagues to deliver engaging youth group delivery for young people.

- Experience of working with young people and families.
- Experience of, supporting, and contributing to service activities for Children or young people.
- Some Flexibility in work arrangements to ensure delivery of service.
