Façade Designer

Our client, an industry leading Building Envelope Contractor based in Watford are seeking a Façade Designer to join their team. They specialise in consultation, design, supply and installation of fenestration and rainscreen cladding systems. Due to continuedgrowth, they are actively looking to fill this position.

You will be responsible for various stages of design, develop standard system and bespoke project solutions in collaboration with our in-house and consultant teams. Ideally suited for someone currently working as a facade consultant/facade engineer or forsomeone who is looking to change career direction.

**Facade Designer EngineerPosition Overview**
- Annalise project specification and tender information.
- Record product performance and requirements suitability.
- Produce compliant technical design, schedules and reports.
- Liaise with allocated internal or external project design and engineering resource.
- Document control and coordinate with project design team.
- Present design and engineering output to external reviewers.
- Produce fabrication and installation information.
- Register design risk.
- Assist project delivery team, advise manufacturers, fabricators and suppliers.
- Prepare value engineering proposals, report on progress.
- Prepare as constructed information packages.

**Facade Designer EngineerPosition Requirements**
- Experience in similar position or seeking next step.
- Façade Design experience with the following Building Envelope Systems is preferred: Steel Framing Systems External Thermal Insulation Composite Systems Rainscreen Cladding Systems and Roofing Windows, Doors and Curtain Walling
- External Shading and Architectural Metalwork
- Significant proven experience in a similar role, ideally aligned to a relevant degree.
- Previous experience in dealing with clients, consultants and insurers is preferable.
- Experienced user of Autodesk AutoCAD 2D/3D, Revit, Inventor and CAD Plan Athena.
- Structural, Impact, Thermal, Acoustic and Fire performance of Systemised Walls.

- Salary expectations (D.O.E) £25k - £45k
