**Job Summary**:
To be a member of the Creative Stars team working together under the direction of the Manager.
To study an Early Years Educator/ Childcare Qualification
To implement nursery policies and procedures effectively.
**Main Purpose of the Job**:
To contribute to the provision and maintenance of a healthy, stimulating, safe and aesthetically pleasing learning environment.
To play with and care for the children within our setting
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Work as a member of a team, contributing to the learning experiences that will enhance children’s physical, intellectual, emotional, social and moral development.
Be responsible for working with groups of children on planned learning experiences as agreed by the room leaders.
Work with the room leader in the overall observation, assessment and recording of the development of individual children with reference to the nursery policies and Ofsted regulations.
Plan and implement group activities.
Support children with a variety of Special Educational Needs within the environment, contributing to support plans as appropriate. (Staff may be required to carry out basic medical procedures, for which training would be given).
Support children with special educational needs by contributing to reviews and case conferences, working in co-operation with other agencies.
Maintain effective, professional relationships with colleagues.
Maintain good behaviour management amongst the pupils, both on the premises and when engaged in school activities elsewhere.
Attend and contribute to staff meetings.
Implement the nursery’s equal opportunities policy fully.
Provide an environment that allows for consideration of the children’s ethnic, cultural, linguistic backgrounds and gender.
Support children with personal care, including changing nappies and changing clothing when necessary.
Be aware of child protection issues, identifying and monitoring suspected child abuse and children at risk, reporting to the designated safeguarding officer.
Share in making decisions and recommendations about practice, routines and organisation or space, to maximise the achievement of all children.
Contribute to the selection and maintenance of resources.
Be aware of Health and Safety issues and the welfare of the children at all times.
Participate in formal parents’ meetings including Parent’s evenings.
**Job Type**: Part-time
**Salary**: Up to £8.50 per hour
Expected hours: 15 - 25 per week
