high-precision cylindrical and special grinding machines. Historically, we

supplied the automotive and ship-building industries and more recently we

are also diversifying into the Electric Vehicle and Optics markets. We are

based in Cross Hills, West Yorkshire and have an Innovation Centre in

Bedford.

We are currently seeking Full-Time, permanent Machinists, who have the same

desire to prove that industry can do it

At Fives we all have a part to play in achieving our common purpose. Your

role will be to:
Operate 5 axis CNC machines, using SIEMENS 840D controls.

Read and interpret engineering and quality documentation, with an

understanding of geometric tolerances.

Ensure procedures are adhered to and documentation is controlled,

ensuring quality parts are delivered to stores on time.

Prove out and edit CNC programmes using Siemens 840D controls.

(Programming experience is required)

Visual and dimensional inspection checks against engineering

specification.

Load and set fixture and components

Load programs

Lifting and slinging

5s Housekeeping

Quality Mindset to ensure right first time

Asset care

Adherence to PPE AND HSE - Work within a team, maintaining safety and

cleanliness of the work area.

At Fives Landis Ltd, and under the direction of the Machine Shop Manager,

you will join the Machine Shop team.

Since we are located a short distance from Bradford, it will be easy for

you to reach us by public transport or car.

We are seeking experienced machinists who are fully apprentice-trained,

with a good understanding of engineering drawings, the ability to meet

targets with accuracy of work and the ability to work independently as well

as within a large team.
