Handy Person

**Salary: Competitive hourly rate. 40 hours per week**. **Monday - Friday**

We’re looking for a Handyperson with outstanding property maintenance knowledge and organisational skills to join our busy team We are a family run electrical business with a department that operates the North Somerset Council Handyperson Service. This service looks after those over 60 and/or disabled. This is a very satisfying role where you really make a difference to the living environment of our customers. A typical day will consist of several jobs around the North Somerset area, you could be changing a drippy tap, fixing a toilet, installing a grab rail, assembling flat pack furniture or installing a curtain pole. The work is very varied and no day is exactly the same.

**Responsibilities**
- To ensure the daily diary jobs/commitments are completed including digital paperwork
- To organise parts and equipment required with 1st call success in mind
- Communicate effectively with your customers, the office and colleagues
- Be on time
- Be open to feedback and further learning
- Receive excellent customer service survey results
- Be Health and Safety aware

**Requirements**:

- A strong general knowledge of plumbing, carpentry and general property maintenance
- Full and valid UK driving license (no automatic-only licenses)
- A clean DBS check (carried out at our expense)
- Excellent communication skills
- A good understanding of Health and Safety and Quality Control
- Organised with strong time management and prioritisation skills
- Team player
- Self-motivated, hardworking with drive, energy and enthusiasm
- Attention to detail

**Experience**:

- Multi-trader or maintenance person: 2 years (required)
