The Supply Chain family is dedicated to planning, directing and coordinating product and service storage, distribution and delivery operations to meet customer need and drive business value

**Job Summary**

This role verifies and maintains records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment. Duties include assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise, materials or accompanying paperwork; receiving, unpacking, verifying and recording incoming merchandise, materials or accompanying paperwork; and arranging for the transportation of products

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Uses standard office software to carry out basic formatting on letters, memoranda and routine reports
- Maintains and retrieves accurate files and records from company filing systems
- Manages own workload according to assigned schedule
- Exchanges information with internal clients by having courteous interactions with them
- Follows a mandatory procedure to ensure that work is carried out to the required quality standards and/or to ensure adherence to external regulatory codes and internal codes of conduct
- Follows mandatory work instructions (including use of personal protection equipment where relevant) to safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of oneself and others
- Develop and maintain excellent skills by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching
- Examines shipment contents and compares with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy
- Prepares documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials
- Confers or corresponds with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications
- Determines shipping methods, routes or rates for materials to be shipped
- Compares shipping routes or methods to determine which have the least environmental impact
- Records shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages or discrepancies for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes
- Packs, seals, labels or affixes postage to prepare materials for shipping using hand tools, power tools or postage meter
- Contacts carrier representatives to arrange or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials
- Requisitions and stores shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock
- Computes amounts, such as space available, shipping, storage, or demurrage charges, using computer or price list
