**You and Your Team**:
We have a 6-month fixed term opportunity for a People Services Coordinator to join our People Services team.

In this role you will be responsible for processing the employee life cycle, from onboarding through to colleagues exiting the business. You will conduct onboarding and ongoing background checks in line with FCA guidelines to identity any potential risks and determine next steps.

Reporting into the People Services Manager, you will create contracts of employment in partnership with Talent, administer employee changes, benefits, lifestyle and personal changes and manage the leavers process in line with HR policies and procedures.

**In your day-to-day role as a People Services Coordinator, you will**:

- Transact and monitor background checks in line with Policy and FCA guidelines using third party suppliers such as Experian, undertaking credit checks, DBS checks, CIFAS checks, PEP’s and Sanctions, Passport Validation checks etc. for new joiners and existing colleagues.
- Identify and mitigate any risks associated with the background checks, determining when to escalate potential exceptions to the HR Regulation and Compliance team, gathering source data where applicable.
- Provide end to end delivery of onboarding processes, including creation of contracts and service agreements, checking and challenging new starter forms for accurate information, ensuring Reward Framework and regulatory requirements around Senior Managers and Certification Regime are accurate.
- Be responsible for accurately administering and transacting all payroll related data including processing starters, leavers, employee changes, personal detail changes, salary, benefits, leave of absence, DSAR’s and changes in employee status.
- Assist in management of a central inbox, answering general queries, identifying and forwarding to other HR functions as required and dependent on the queries
- Act as the first point of contact for all HR queries, signposting to where guidance can be found on our internal intranet and identifying best HR Specialist to support with the query.
- Produce high quality and accurate written correspondence to colleagues.
- Input accurate data efficiently in to various internal and external systems.

**What you will bring to the team**:

- Experience of working in a demanding and varied administrative or PA role or similar.
- Experience of working within an environment that is involved in dealing with confidential/sensitive information.
- Experience of MS Office tools to a high standard. Familiar with using Excel, Word and working from process guides/maps as well as a willingness to learn new skills required for the role.
- An excellent verbal and written communicator who works well within a team.

**Desirable**:

- Previous experience working alongside Payroll.
- Previous experience of working within a HR Role or Function
- Previous experience of working with an HR Database
