- PPR/23/261329The Parks and Countryside Team look after more than 150 parks and countryside sites within the borough ranging from small copses and meadows to larger nature reserves and parks. The team are passionate about establishing and maintaining the beautiful landscape of our borough.

The Tree Team look after the boroughs forest and woodland, which accounts for 39% of land within the borough. Tree cover varies hugely, consisting of large coniferous forest plantations, historic parkland trees, small copses and urban street trees. The tree team protect the trees and monitor any works.

Trees and green spaces in Bracknell Forest are not just making our borough look great and feel great, they move us towards a more sustainable future. Trees are part of our heritage to be preserved and our assets to be enhanced.

As a member of the Parks and Countryside Technical Support Team you would have a pivotal role in shaping the future of our parks, trees and green spaces throughout the borough.

**What it's like working in our team...**:
The Technical Support Team works closely with many other service areas throughout the council along with our Councillors, Parish Councils and members of the public.

Key aspects of this role are an eye for detail and an ability to work to tight deadlines to provide a professional service both internally and externally. As part of the team you will be involved in providing ideas and contributing to on-going enhancement of our service.

We are a positive, interactive team working cohesively to ensure a well organised efficient service is maintained.

**You will be supported to carry out the following duties, responsibilities and training...**:
As part of the Parks and Countryside Team, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including to respond to enquiries and work requests from members of the public, councillors, and other members of staff, and to provide follow up assistance to customers to ensure resolution of issues or concerns. To process requests for tree works, to generate purchase orders and invoices across the service and to facilitate bookings and events.

This post provides essential support for our Tree Officers and Park Rangers.

In house training is provided for all tasks and comprehensive written procedures are available. Bracknell Forest Council also provide additional training opportunities in a wide range of areas to help enhance your skill set.

**What we're looking for...**:
We are looking for an individual with excellent communication and organisational skills who is willing to work proactively to maintain and improve the services that we provide.

Experience of MS Packages and use of databases is essential, along with your ability to work within a busy office environment and independently from home as part of a flexible work style.
