- about 1 hour agoOur client is looking for a Category Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. The Category Manager will work on a hybrid basis of 3 days in the office a week. The Category Manager will also be managing their workload and working with various categories.
**Key Responsibilities for the Category Manager**:

- Being resourceful in the face of challenges and blocks, able and willing to challenge inappropriate procurement activity.
- Evaluate and report on progress.
- Willing to challenge the status quo and to consider innovative approaches.
- Support and lead where applicable on a wide range of procurement procedures.
- Support delivery of savings
- Work with eProcurement systems and have the ability to support others in the use of the systems.
- Understand program and project management tools and techniques.
- Ability to move outside current thinking and traditional approaches to develop new ideas and innovative commercially advantageous procurement solutions.
- Understanding of procurement requirements in the public sector including the principles of achieving best value.
